Experience Dentistry with a Personal Touch

Morris Dental is a family owned and operated General dental practice located in Enfield. We provide treatment for patients of all ages with an aim to help create and maintain valuable healthy smiles.

Our dentists are a husband and wife team in Dr Rano Morris and Dr Brett Morris. They have been established in the area for over 12 years and are dedicated to ensuring patients feel at ease during their dental visits.

The best way to maintain a long term healthy smile and reduce the risk and stress of dental problems is to find a dentist you trust and commit to routine dental checks. Our aim at Morris Dental is to form long term relationships with our patients with the hope to avoid extensive treatment by encouraging healthy habits and identifying problems early.

We strive to work with the highest quality of instruments and materials and all laboratory work including crowns, implants and nightguards is done by local, trusted labs that we have worked with for years.

After graduating from the University of Adelaide in 2003, Rano worked in private practice in Brisbane until moving back to Adelaide a few years later.

Since taking over the role of Principal dentist from John McAulliffe in 2010, she has taken great pride in caring for all her patients and getting to know new ones.

Rano is a great believer in patient education and awareness being key to long term healthy smiles. In addition to general dentistry, Rano has a special interest in tooth straightening with aligners, implant placement, crown and bridge treatment and root canal treatment.

Brett began his career as a Mechatronic Engineer. Inspired by his wife, Rano, Brett returned to university and graduated as a dentist in 2015.

He is passionate about helping patients maintain healthy mouths and enjoys guiding them back to optimal oral health, breaking the cycle of repeated dental treatments. Brett ensures his patients are equipped with the tools, knowledge, and care needed to confidently maintain their teeth and gums.

Brett provides comprehensive general dental care for patients and families of all ages. He enjoys incorporating new techniques and technologies into his practice to enhance patient outcomes. He has a particular interest in treating bleeding gums (periodontal disease) and restoring heavily worn teeth.

Patient comfort is a key to a successful dental visit

We operate out of a modern, recently renovated practice offering disabled access and plentiful off street parking. Patients can expect to walk into a calming front office with relaxing music and soothing décor. Our main surgery is also large enough to see the whole family without the kids waiting outside.

Technology for Patient Comfort

Patient comfort is very key to a successful dental visit, so we routinely invest in new techniques and technology to reduce common sources of stress for patients.

3D scanners

For patient comfort and better accuracy, at Morris Dental we utilise 3D scanners for taking digital impressions for crowns, nightguards and mouthguards.

This means that instead of uncomfortable putty moulds of the teeth, we can do a more accurate and quicker scan of the mouth.

GBT Certified Practice

Dental cleans with ultra sonic cleaners are a common source of discomfort for patients.  We use EMS airflow polishing powder for most routine cleans as a first step in removal of soft plaque. This greatly reduces the need for ultrasonic cleans, which are used only to remove the stubborn hardened plaque deposits. Additionally plaque is more effectively removed from difficult to clean areas such as crowded teeth and patients with braces.

TV on the ceiling

All our treatment rooms at Morris Dental have a TV on the ceiling. Our patients find this a welcome distraction during treatment, allowing the mind to focus on what is on the screen rather than the dental procedure.

Two options exist for maintaining your new straight smile. The first is a bonded wire placed discreetly on the back of the teeth, and the second is routine use of clear removable retainers. Both are effective, and we will help you choose which option is right for you.
Gum disease treatment requires lifelong maintenance following the initial procedure. We’ll provide you with the tools and techniques for effective cleaning at home, along with regular professional maintenance cleanings up to four times per year. Additionally, we measure your gum health annually to ensure your smile stays on track.
Dental implants have the best chance of success if the bone is given time to bond with the implant before adding the new tooth. The minimum time we recommend is three months. If the tooth has been recently extracted, the bone may require an additional 2-3 months to heal prior to implant placement.
We keep emergency appointments open each day to help patients in need of urgent care. Please call us directly at 8366 2221 if you are unable to book an appointment online, and we will help assess the problem and get you an appointment as quickly as possible.
Dental cavities often cause no pain until the problem is quite advanced. We prefer to see patients early to avoid more significant treatment down the road. We are more than happy to examine the area, even if there ends up being no issue, to provide you with peace of mind.
We typically see young children from about two years of age, as this is when they can usually sit on a parent’s lap and allow us to examine their teeth. However, we’re happy to see children of any age if you have concerns or questions regarding their development.
This varies based on age, temperament, and previous dental experiences. We assess how your child might respond during the initial exam and cleaning. We believe that a young child’s first dental experience should be positive, so if we think treatment might cause stress, we may recommend treatment under light sedation with a trusted paediatric specialist.
Nightguards act as a barrier to prevent your teeth from grinding together while you sleep. As long as your nightguard fits comfortably and isn’t fractured, it can still be used. People typically replace nightguards if they break or become stained over time. Replacement every 2-3 years is common, depending on the level of grinding. Also, please keep nightguards out of pets’ reach, as they are often a favourite chew toy for dogs!
Before providing a cleaning, we need to ensure your teeth are healthy and that there’s a plan to prevent future issues. For this reason, a full exam and recent X-rays are required before scheduling a cleaning.
